ICBC Goes Well on Asian Games Ticket Sales

At 10:02 am on July 26, ICBC Guangzhou Yitai Plaza sub-branch on behalf of a customer submitted the first request for the opening ceremony ticket of 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. This is the first request since the beginning of the phase II ticket sales of Guangzhou Asian Games, also signals the start of phase II ticket sales of ICBC for the Games.

During the phase I ticket sales earlier, ICBC completed its mission as the only banking partner of the Games. ICBC offers fast, convenient and top services for anyone to buy the tickets after all the full arrangement and preparation. A total of nearly 20000 tickets were sold through the 400 designated ICBC ticketing outlets nationwide.

According to the ICBC spokesperson, tickets offered for sale in phase II are for the 4 ceremonies of opening and closing of the 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games. Tickets are sold under the principle of "Payment beforehand, Open subscription and Confirmation subject to draws". Every application received between July 26 and August 15 has equal probability of obtaining the ticket.

Applicants can submit the request either online through the official ticketing website of Guangzhou Asian Games or fill in the form at the designated ICBC ticketing outlet and apply with own identity document. After the completion of the random selection draw process, successful applicants will be notified to bring along the confirmation and own identity document to collect the tickets at the designated outlets on the specified date.

As related, ICBC started the full preparation for the ticketing service and stated out the steps and operation details of the ticketing sales plan in line with rules set out by the organizing committee. That included the promotion guidelines, equipment and devices in place, staff training, operations management, system connectivity, security and protection. Stress tests were carried out on critical steps and contingency plans were drawn up to ensure every step was in order.
