As related by ICBC, ICBC is going to launch a range of tailored service measures and financial products during the week-long National Holiday. The goal is to increase service quality and deliver a rich variety of top-quality, highly efficient financial services to all the customers.
First, ICBC will arrange the business hours of their outlets accordingly for the customers to come to ICBC for banking services during the Holiday. Outlets at the main shopping areas and residential zones will be given the priority, which will be open to public to ensure all banking services are available.
In Shanghai area, ICBC Shanghai Branch will open 70% of their outlets during the National Holiday to handle large number of transactions from crowds of visitors to the World Expo. All the 106 outlets in the core areas around World Expo will be opened to business. In Beijing, from October 1st to 3rd, ICBC will open at least 50% of the outlets in busy downtown areas from 10:00 to 16:00.
All outlets will be opened to business at normal hours from October 4th to 7th. In Guangzhou, at least 50% of the outlets are opened from October 1st to 3rd. From October 4th to 7th outlets will be opened during the hours as in Saturdays and Sundays. ICBC outlets at all places will make the announcement in advance for customers to check and arrange the right time to come to ICBC for the banking services during the Holiday.
More important, 7x24 non-stop financial services are available during the Holiday at all the ICBC electronic channels-self-service machine, Telephone Banking, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, etc. Transfer, remittance, payment of utility bills can be done easily at home. To ensure the normal running of all the self-services devices, ICBC conducted thorough checking on them as well as electronic service network before the National Holiday. During the Holiday, ICBC will also add extra monitoring on ATMs and supplement cash in time for customers to draw anytime.
During the long National holiday, while ensuring the availability of all financial services, different wealth management channels are also provided for customers to "activate" their idle funds. Besides the conventional products like 7-day call deposits, Link Express, ICBC also launches a host of investment products tailored for the holidayers to invest their money and get good returns easily.
The "Secure Profit" is an example. This product series during the National holiday starts from September 29, 2010 till October 11, 2010, a validity period closed to the National Holiday. Individual customers are welcomed to invest their idle money on this investment product to earn higher return. And those who have been keeping an eye on the international gold prices need not worry about missing any investment opportunity during the Holiday period since ICBC's account precious metal service is not affected by the Holiday.
Customers can buy or sell account gold or account silver in ICBC Internet Banking as usual. The trading hours are the same as before, every week from 7:00 Monday to 04:00 Saturday, trading 7x24 non-stop.
Meanwhile, customers are welcomed to join the promotion events held by ICBC during the National Holiday and enjoy all the different special discounts and offers while traveling or shopping. For example, 80% discount on the fee for transfer/remittance via ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP) while traveling. ICBC, the only banking partner of Guangzhou Asian Games, recently launched the promotion on ICBC Asian Games Cards.
