ICBC Launches Personal Wealth Management Services for Mobile Banking Users

Earlier, ICBC launched personal wealth management services for mobile banking (WAP) users that will cater to the increasing diversified needs of the customers in mobile financial services. The new services allows customers to buy three types of investment products "Link Express" Ultra-Short, "Link Express" New Stock, "T+0" via ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP). Together with this launch, ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP) can now offer a range of investment and wealth management services covering funds, T-bond, foreign exchange, precious metal, investment products and third-party depositary.

In recent years, the number of mobile internet users continues to rise as mobile phones are getting popular. Statistics shows that China has reached a cell phone user base of 277 million by the end of June this year, accounting for 65.9% of all internet users in China and a jump of 18.6% or 43.34 million new users from the beginning of this year.

Meanwhile, with the fast advancement of 3G technology, mobile internet is coming to be an important medium in shaping the "Network Economic" era. Prospect of moving ahead is good. ICBC has spent efforts to add innovation on mobile banking services that enables customers' convenient access to their bank accounts by using their mobile phones in today's mobile internet era.

ICBC launched 3G Mobile Banking in 2009 subsequent to the Mobile Banking (WAP) launched a year earlier. Once register the ICBC Mobile Banking (WAP), customers can easily access the 7*24 financial services by their internet-enabled mobile phones, such as manage account, arrange financials or pay bills.

According to the ICBC spokesperson, due to its robust growth in recent years, ICBC's Mobile Banking service has been named by numerous domestic media in 2009 as "Best Mobile Banking", "Best Technology Innovation in Mobile Banking", "Best Choice of Mobile Banking". The ICBC spokesperson continued that the "anytime, anywhere" of Mobile Banking (WAP) services is a major benefit to the users in today's fast-growing mobile internet.
