Dec 8 was the first opening day of the Asian Para Games Athletes' Village. Staffs of ICBC outlet in the international zone of the village specially placed two more lowered writing surfaces and adjusted the height of three ATMs for the disabled to use the facilities. On that day, many wheelchair athletes drew cash easily from these accessible ATMs.
In the evening of Dec 9, three blind Iranian athletes with the help of the teammates came to ICBC outlet in the Athletes' Village to exchange small amount of foreign currency. From the moment when they walked into the outlet to the second they finished the currency exchange, ICBC duty manager was beside them to help in every detail.
After that, these blind athletes expressed their warmest thanks to invite ICBC outlet staffs to take a photo with them. They said: "Though we cannot see, deep in our heart we can feel the friendship to us from all of you. We use the photo and heart to remember our friends in ICBC."
In the evening of Dec 13, a blind Kyrghyz athlete came to the ICBC outlet in Guangzhou Asia Para Games Athletes' Village with the help of his teammate. ICBC outlet teller helped him to finish his banking activity and accompanied him to leave. Just when he walked out of the outlet, ICBC duty manager was very meticulous to find that his shoelace had come loose, and reminded him politely and asked him if any help was needed in order to stop him from being fallen down by the loose shoelace.
Later, this blind Kyrghyz athlete tied up the shoelace with the help of his teammate. They are so moved that when they left the ICBC outlet, they said the care and concern to the customers from ICBC staff was far beyond their imagination.
