Recently, ICBC has been named as "Best Internet Bank of the Year" for the second year winning at the 2009-2010 China Financial Institution Gold Ranking - Second "Gold Dragon Award" Program.
This year's competition was organised by Financial News in association with the Institute of Finance and Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Science. The selection went through two processes: index evaluation scheme and expert opinions. First, the Institute of Finance and Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Science built an analysis model to set up index evaluation scheme for the Awards, finalists were chosen from the participating companies who were ranked according to the scores from the analysis model.
From these, award winners were voted for by a panel of judges of financial experts and academicians. ICBC moved to the top of the ranking and won the Award by the strong product functions, leading market shares and best-quality services of Internet Banking.
As of the end of November, ICBC has more than 90 million personal customers and over 2.4 million corporate clients using ICBC Internet Banking. Increasing brand recognition of ICBC Internet Banking let the Bank hold the top spot. In the next step, ICBC will seize the opportunity of internet progress to continue product innovation and push forward its business to offer best-quality services to customers.
