PetroChina Company Limited, a subsidiary of CNPC, has achieved excellent operation performance and steady progress in the first half of the year. Totally 419 million barrels of crude oil and 798 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the first half of the year, increases of 600,000 barrels or 0.1% and 113.3 billion cubic meters or 16.5% respectively compared to that of the corresponding period of last year. Oil and gas exploration in Jidong tidal and shallow water area in Bohai Bay Basin resulted in the discovery of the 1 billion-ton-reserve Nanpu Oilfield, which has boosted oil and gas reserve increment of PetroChina. Crude processing of the first half of the year reached 407 million barrels, 15.10 million barrels or 3.8% more than that of the corresponding period in 2006. Gasoline and diesel production reached 10.67 million tons and 23.89 million tons, a decrease of 3.6% and an increase of 7.5% respectively. Ethane production was increased by 30.1%, up to1.31 million tons. The construction of refined products marketing network has been further promoted, making the total number of service station up to18,630, 678 or 3.78% more than that of the corresponding period in 2006. PetroChina s supply to the market was thereby further enhanced. |
