On August 5, Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination signed CNPC as its global partner for World Expo 2010 Shanghai in Beijing, making CNPC the 12th global partner for the event. Our role as Shanghai World Expo's global partner after becoming a global partner for the Beijing Olympic Games reflects another significant action we taking to fulfill our social responsibilities. We will endeavor to meet the demands of the Expo for sufficient and quality hydrocarbon products and services by improving our sales network, pipelines and logistics facilities. The World Expo, known as "the Olympic Games for the economy, science and technology", is held by the government of a country with the participation of many other countries and international organizations. Up to now, the World Expo has been held in 24 cities of 13 countries including China. China first participated in the World Expo in 1982, and was recognized as the 46th member state by BIE in 1993. China has hosted the 1999 International Horticulture Exposition in Kunming. The Shanghai World Expo will be held from May 1 to October 31 in 2010, with a theme of "Better City, Better Life". Shanghai World Expo has attracted many top enterprises from home and abroad. Now it has 12 global partners, 7 senior sponsors and 5 project sponsors. CNPC is China's largest oil and gas producer and supplier. In 2007, we registered sales revenues of over RMB one trillion, total profit of RMB 192 billion and taxation payments of RMB 198.5 billion. CNPC is ranked the 25th in Fortune Global 500 and the 7th among global top 50 oil companies.
