From October 26 to 27, a CNPC delegation led by Vice President Li Xinhua attended the celebration of the Turkmenistan Independence Day upon invitation of the Turkmen government. At 12 o'clock, Oct. 26 (local time), the CNPC delegation was granted an interview by President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov at the Presidential Office. During the interview, Li Xinhua gave congratulations for Turkmenistan Independence Day on behalf of President Jiang Jiemin and the CNPC Staff, thanked President Berdymukhamedov for his concern and support to the Sino-Turkmen joint gas project, and tip his hat to the significant discoveries in South Ula. President Berdymukhamedov thanked CNPC for sending a delegation to attend the celebration of Turkmenistan Independence Day. He was very pleased about the progress of the joint project. He said that the collaboration between Turkmenistan and China's natural gas sector would be further broadened. During their staying in Turkmanistan, Mr. Li Xinhua and his retainers visited the Amu Darya natural gas project. He extended regards and encouragement to CNPC employees working in Turkmanistan on behalf of the corporation and President Jiang Jiemin. |
