BEIJING - A total of 430 people have been punished for violating laws and disciplines during a national inspection to find out whether China's huge economic stimulus package was properly used.
China's disciplinary inspection and supervision organs launched a nationwide campaign, starting from the fourth quarter of 2008, to check the implementation of the country's 4 trillion yuan ($604 billion) stimulus plan.The plan was introduced in late 2008 to boost domestic demand in response to international crisis.A total of 314 cases were registered, and the investigations of 291 cases were concluded as of the end of August 2010
