China's industrial output rose 12.4 percent in the third quarter from a year ago, as the economy has seen a consolidated growth recovery, according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday.
The figure increased 8.7 percent year-on-year in the first nine months.
Production of the state-owned and state-holding enterprises was up 4.1 percent, and that for the collective-owned businesses gained 7.9 percent. Output of enterprises involving overseas investment advanced 3.4 percent.
From January to August, the profit of major industrial producers was 1.67 trillion yuan ($46.28 billion), down 10.6 percent year-on-ear, and 12.2 percentage points lower than the figure for the first five months.
