Chinese shares closed slightly higher at midday Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.47 percent, or 13.70 points, to 2,902.26 in the morning session.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.84 percent, or 102.75 points, to close the morning session at 12,398.60.
