China's stocks closed mixed in the morning trading session Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edging up 2.83 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 2,735.82 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.13 percent, or 16.27 points, to end at 12,047.53 points at midday.
