Hunan to Review Enforcement of Regulations and Decision on Building CZT Cluster

The Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province held a video teleconference in Changsha on the morning of March 25, 2011. The meeting aimed to mobilize the inspection for the implementation of Regulations on the Planning of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster of Hunan Province and the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province's Decision to Guarantee and Promote the Pilot Area of the Construction and Supporting Reform on the Resource-saving and Environment-friendly Society in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster.

Li Jiang, vice director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province presided over the conference. He noted that people's congresses, governments at all levels and departments directly under the Hunan Provincial People's Government must deepen their understanding of the importance and strengthen the leadership of this inspection to bring about success of this move with meticulous efforts. Taking this opportunity, the CZT Cluster will pioneer a new road to new-type industrialization, new urbanization, agricultural modernization, informatization and construction of the "Two-oriented" Society. This initiative is expected to play a better role in promoting the scientific development and making the province more prosperous and its people better off.

Other officials present at the meeting included Executive Vice Governor Yu Laishan, Chen Shuhong, vice director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province and Sun Zaitian, secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hunan Province.

Besides its main venue in Changsha, the conference set seven branch venues in Hengyang, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, Yueyang, Changde, Yiyang and Loudi.
