Yang Song, deputy secretary of Hubei Provincial Committee of the CPC and secretary of Wuhan Municipal Committee and Ruan Chengfa, mayor of Wuhan talked with Deng Qilin, general manager of Wuhan Iron and Steel Group and Wang Zhen, secretary of the company committee of the CPC on January 4 to further the development of the company.
According to the introduction, the output of iron, steel and steel products reached 34.52 million tons, 36.58 million tons and 35.83 million tons respectively, up by 16.97%, 20.55% and 22.63% separately and that of iron ranked 3rd in China and 5th in the world. In 2010, the group became one of the the world top 500 enterprises.
