Sino-Korea cultural exchange month kicks off in Weihai on Auguest 23. It is scheduled to end on September 30.
With the theme of expending mutual contacts, furthering cooperation and promoting development , 26 cultural and economic activities including forum, exhibition, performing arts, tourism etc. will be held during this event.
Among those activities, Sino-Korea photography, calligraphy and painting exhibition, maritime forum, vogue-sport carnival, Korean invention show, original performance from Yosu, North China s tourist commodities fair, Weihai fig cultural tourism activity, etc. will be the key exchange programs.
The year 2010 happens to be the 18th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-Korea relationships and the 20th anniversary of the navigation between Weihai and Inchon. said Shan Guofang, vice-chairman of the organization committee.
According to Shan, the holding of this event will strengthen the friendship between China and Korea and accelerate the cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countires and even in east Asia. It will promote the development of exhibition, tourism and cultural product trading as well.
