The pedestrian bridge on Jingshi Road
The Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Rail will be open to traffic in June, as one main road to connect the West Client Station. The transformation works of west Jingshi Road will start on 6th April and complete before 31st May. This transformation will increase two pedestrian bridges and alter the bus stations, which will become more convenient to the public.
And the transformation range is from west Danshantun Overpass of Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway to east Lashan Overpass. The transformed part is about 4 kilometers long and 90 meters wide. Zhao Haiming, vice director of Municipal Utility Bureau said: since the western part of Jingshi Road was built in 2004, it has never been large-scale transformed. Because of its insufficient capacity, it can not bear the traffic after the opening of West Client Station, therefore it is necessary to transform the west part of Jingshi Road.
