Construction of Ganzhou-Shaoguan Railway (Jiangxi Section) entered a critical period. Wang Ping, Mayor of Ganzhou, came to inspect the progress of project construction and see the construction workers who fight in the front line in Ganzhou-Shaoguan Railway (Jiangxi Section) on August 26. He asked Party committees and governments at all levels along the railway to fully support the railway construction and ensure the railway construction being unaffected by any externalities.
He also hoped that the project construction units and builders could make persistent efforts, overcome all difficulties and speed up the progress of construction to ensure early completion of Ganzhou-Shaoguan Railway.

Ganzhou-Shaoguan Railway starts east from Nankang (Ganzhou) Station of Beijing-Kowloon Railway and ends west in Shaoguan Station of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. It is an important channel to link Beijing-Kowloon and Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. It has a total length of about 179 km and it runs through Nankang City and Dayu County of Ganzhou.
The construction period is 3 years. As of July this year, Ganzhou-Shaoguan Railway completed investment of 2.022 billion yuan, accounting for 33% of the total investment (6.154 billion yuan); it completed 114% of the scheduled plan.
