December 15, SteelGuru - South City News reported that crude steel output in Jiangxi province has exceeded the volume of last year.
Data showed that the output of crude steel in Jiangxi province during January to October was 16.23 million tonnes exceeding 16.18 million tonnes of last year. Besides, the electricity consumption of main steelmakers was 5.94 billion KWh with self-sufficient 1.349 billion KWh taking up 22.71% of the total electricity consumption up by 8.23%YoY. Moreover, construction steel prices ran away from the correction trend in October starting a rising move in November.
Resources showed that the revenue of iron and steel industry in Jiangxi province has been CNY 100.276 billion until November 15th first time to break CNY 100 billion. Currently, steel industry became the second one to outstrip CNY 100 billion after nonferrous metals industry. The output of pig iron was 15.7385 million tonnes of crude steel 17.3042 million tonnes up by 28.6%YoY and 26.1%YoY respectively. The profit of industry was CNY 2.648 billion up by 65.73%YoY.
