The 8th China-EU Energy Cooperation Conference, organized by MOST and the European Commission, was held on July 6-7 in Shanghai. Minister WAN Gang and EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger addressed the event.
The Conference, with the theme of addressing climate change and fostering emerging industries in the post-crisis era, attracted 200 representatives from governments, business and academic communities. Most of the discussions were focused on renewable energies, smart grid and clean vehicles. European business representatives made field trips to Chinese enterprises in Jiangsu after the Conference.
