18 students from Fudan University were successfully rescued by policemen after17-hour-long search and rescue.
18 students lost their way when they had a DIY tourism in Mountain Huangshan on December 12. The students began to climb Mountain Huangshan via roadless areas in a bid to experience a unique flavor on the afternoon of December 11. Unfortunately, their GPS was soaked due to rainy weather, plus they were not familiar with the mountainous paths, they got lost in the depth of Mountain Huangshan.
They sent an SOS to Huangshan Municipal Bureau of Police to ask for help. When Huangshan Municipal Bureau of Police learned this thing, they immediately formed a rescue team consisting of 230 people to search for students. Bad weather made the search more difficult than ever before. Luckily, after hours' effort, the rescue team found the students. The students embraced tightly in an attempt to keep warm when they were found.
All the students were escorted down the hill safely and all of them were checked physically. The check showed their were in good condition.
It is learned all of the students left for Shanghai on the afternoon of December 13.
