Anhui province, located in east China, issued favorable policies to attract more visitors and provided six recommended tour routes on Dec 2 at the start of the four-month winter tourism season.
Zhang Xueping, vice director of the Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration, said that southern Anhui will impress visitors with its beautiful snow-capped mountains, and central Anhui will feature its hot springs tours. Northern Anhui will offer folk-custom tours, Zhang said.
The six recommended tour routes are: tours of historic and cultural relics, golf and sightseeing tours, tours of Anhui s top scenic spots, tours of Anhui s other scenic spots, tour of Buddhist relics and a hot springs tour.
In response to the favorable policies, many scenic spots in Anhui such as Huangshan Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain began to reduce ticket prices this month to attract more winter visitors.
