New discovery made in archaeology of Zhejiang Early Neolithic Age

It was disclosed yesterday in Longyou Qingdui Site an early Neolithic site in Zhejiang which has been discovered and best preserved to date that cultural remains of Shangshan Culture and Kuahuqiao Culture are basically intact in Qingdui Site which is of very high historical and scientific research value, a great archaeological breakthrough in Zhejiang early Neolithic Age.

The reporter saw from the excavation spot that Qingdui Site is located 500 meters west of Sihou Village Longzhou Neighborhood Longyou County, on the west bank of Lingshan River, and 50 meters above sea level. The site is about 170 meters long from north to south, 160 meters wide from east to west, with an area of 30,000 square meters. What makes people feel delighted is in the cultural layer of the site revealed by the south and north trenches, the relics with characteristics of Shangshan Culture, such as red coal pottery, millstone and grinding stone club have been discovered.
