China-Japan-South Korea Tea Culture Exchange Meeting was held in Hangzhou on the morning of October 10th, 2010. Seven groups of researchers and experts in the field of tea study from China, Japan and South Korea gathered to participate in symposiums on tea culture. South Korean Ex-Vice Prime Minister Zhao Chun, Honorary President of China International Tea Culture Institute (CITCI) Yang Rudai, and Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial CPPCC and President of CITCI Zhou Guofu attended the meeting.
Zhou Guofu, on behalf of the Provincial CPPCC and CITCI, expressed warm congratulations on this convention. He said that tea originates from China, flourishes in Asia and benefits the whole world. China, Japan and South Korea all have prosperous tea culture, and the related economic and cultural exchange dates back to long time ago. On this occasion of communication and exploration, tea culture exchange not only promotes the development of tea industry and tea economy as well as the cultivation of healthy lifestyle and ecological civilization, but also contributes to the construction of a harmonious Asia on the basis of friendly exchanges and cooperations among people from the three countries.
