On the afternoon of March 9th, 2011 Spring Compulsory Forestation of Jiangyin was started at the forestation site on East Yanling Road. At the starting ceremony, the whole Jiangyin city was called on to take an active part in tree planting to further uphold a vigorous mass campaign for forestation and make great contributions to the construction of "Ecological Jiangyin" and the improvement of dwelling environment.
Zhu Minyang, Secretary of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee, announced the start of 2011 Spring Compulsory Forestation. City leaders of Jiangyin Wang Xinan, Wu Chongdi, Huang Manzhong, Zhao Guoquan, Sun Xiaohu, Xu Dongqing and Yuan Qiuzhong, and Senior Officer of the army stationed in Jiangyin, attended the starting ceremony and took part in tree planting.
Wang Xinan, Mayor of Jiangyin, made the deployment on forestation, and Zhao Guoquan, Deputy Secretary of Jiangyin Municipal Party Committee, hosted the starting ceremony.
It is the 30th anniversary of Spring Compulsory Forestation of Jiangyin. Citizens of Jiangyin should start from themselves right now to devote themselves to tree planting activity in order to finish the task of planting 1,620,000 trees. As to the capital input, Jiangyin Municipal Government should lead all quarters of society to donate as much as they can, so as to guarantee the comprehensive promotion of forestation with the supporting of financial funds. Departments at all levels should take all kinds of measures to fulfill the task in high quality and standard with enthusiasm and earnest work, making contributions to the construction of "Happy Jiangyin" and "Ecological Jiangyin", as well as the realization of basic modernization.
