Gansu Provincial People s Government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on March 4th in Beijing with China Huadian Corporation which will invest 26 billion RMB yuan to build a high-class photoelectric base inside or outside the country in Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province.
Lu Hao, secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee, Governor Xu Shousheng, General Manager Yun Gongmin of China Huadian Corporation and other top officials were present at the signing ceremony.
Governor Xu delivered a speech at the ceremony. He said that Gansu is abundant in petroleum, mineral and coal resources, a great amount of solar and wind energies and other new energy resources. The unique geographical advantage, ample resources, convenient transportation and electricity transmission networks have laid a good foundation for the mutual cooperation.
The signature marks a new developing phase for the cooperation.
YUN Gongmin expressed in his speech that China Huadian Group would determinedly promote the regional energy project arrangement and development in Jiayuguan City and other places in Gansu by grasping the excellent opportunity for the new national industry development, quickly build a number of influential and leading projects so as to push forward new energy base construction in Hexi Corridor .
On behalf of the two sides Feng Jianshen and Vice President Cheng Niangao of China Huadian Group signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, China Huadian Corporation shall expand investment power and scale in energy field, take active part in exploiting new energy projects in the province, and manage to set up 10 MW photovoltaic power generation project at Jiayuguan in 2010, and speed up the pace of Hexi new energy base construction. Moreover, the two parties will strengthen their cooperation in photoelectric equipment research and development, equipment manufacturing and personnel training and establish good multi-level, multi-form relationship.
