Mei Lanfang Theatre of Beijing was filled with audiences and applauses on the evening of March 12, 2011. With 800 audiences, leaders from the central government, Gansu province and Tianshui city watched a newly composed historical Shannxi opera, The Hymn of Maiji Mountain , an elaborate cultural product of Tianshui city, Gansu province.
The Hymn of Maiji Mountain is a key part of the tourism promotion project of Maiji Mountain which is a 5A national tourist site. For the first time in the last 60 years, this performance finally shows at a national level theatre. [Photo from www.tianshui.gov.cn]
