China s fourth International Maritime Expo was held in Guangzhou s Pazhou Exhibition Center from December 8-10.
Some 800 enterprises and organizations from 20 countries and regions participated in the event for a showcase of their latest products and technologies in the areas of shipping, ship building, ship repair, ocean engineering, dredging and seaport construction. The expo increased its attendance by 30 percent and attracted exhibitors from China, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, Italy, India, the Republic of Korea, Norway, Singapore, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, the USA and Japan.
The expo s theme "Taking Opportunities, Meeting Challenges" highlighted opportunities for enterprises to develop the exposition into a key platform for external exchanges and investment and trade in the Pearl River Delta region.
