Chief Executive of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chui Sai On said on Friday (Aug 27) that he expects the SAR and Southeast China's Fujian province to step up bilateral co-operation in various fields.
Chui made the remarks when meeting top officials of the Fujian province in Fuzhou, capital of the province, according to a press statement released here by the SAR government.
During the meeting, Chui said that the two sides can deepen their co-operation on trading, culture, tourism, transportation, logistics, customs clearance, etc.
Chui also expressed his gratitude to the Fujian leaders for supporting the development of Macao SAR.
Chui arrived in Fuzhou on Friday to attend the the Sixth Pan- Pearl River Delta (PPRD) Regional Co-operation and Development Forum and Economic and Trade Co-operation Fair in Fuzhou.
Co-organised by Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, the Hong Kong SAR and the Macao SAR, the PPRD event will be held between Aug 27 and Aug 29.
