The 2nd "100 Outstanding Overseas Experts' Guangdong Tour" ended today (Sept 29), attracting 103 overseas experts from universities, research institutions and multinational companies of 12 countries, including America, Britain, Germany, France, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Japan, Canada and Australia.
The 3-day tour aims at attracting talents to participate into the upgrading of Guangdong's industry, transformation of economic growth mode and the building of self-innovation system. According to Zhao Weiguang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province, 300 key projects with a total investment of 2.3 trillion RMB will be launched this year to push forward the PRD integration and the strategic industry as well as ecological civilization bases. Experts of modern equipment, auto, iron and steel, petrochemical, shipbuilding, electronics, new materials, new energy and marine technology are greatly needed.
Favorable policies and special measures are issued to lure overseas experts to Guangdong. According to the Guideline, talents and experts will be supported with government grant, and will be awarded for their outstanding skills and innovation abilities. A favorable environment will also be created by offering help to their spouse's employment, children's education and their housing issues.
