The new axis company recently released the notices, announcing its project research bidding as to underground space projects of 6 major areas including Baiyun New Town, Pazhou Yuancun, etc. It heralds the fact that that Guangzhou will now embrace a new development boom in the provision of underground spaces, following the development examples of underground space provisions at the Sports Center and Huacheng Plazas. The research funding of the entire project is estimated to be 1.8 million yuan.
Of the above-mentioned six projects, the underground space of Baiyun New Town and Haizhu Square has already been planned to be put into effect for a long time, while the development of underground space of Yuancun and Pazhou is proposed for the first time. It is not mentioned in drawing up the planning of Pazhou and Yuancun districts. As for the development of underground space of the provincial machinery factory, it is not only an extension of the underground space development of the new TV tower, but also makes full use of the Kecun metro station as a hub.

South Square of Guangzhou Tower is a landscape node of the new axis extended to the south bank of the Pearl River and is also a starting point for the new axis to extend southward on the south bank of the Pearl River.
