On June 1, 2009 International Symposium on Environmental Science and Technology opened in Donghua University. Prof. Xu Mingzhi, president of DHU, Mr. Ren Guanping, Secretary-General of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Prof. David W. Hopkins and other experts attended the opening ceremony. Prof. Liu Jianshe, dean of School of Environmental Science and Engineering presided it.
The Symposium was hosted by Donghua University, Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences and Beijing University of Technology, focusing on environmental inspection and evaluation, pollution and prevention of air, water, soil and solid, etc. About 300 representatives from more than 30 countries and regions attended the Symposium. Altogether there were 441 thesis collected on this symposium.
In the following 3 days, the experts and scholars discussed on the contents of the Symposium.
