On Sept.9, Lord Peter Mandelson, the British business minister, held a symposium to discuss on energy saving and carbon reduction with the college students in Shanghai.
The members of Green Handprint Environmental protection Association of Donghua University attended this symposium on behalf of all the environment protection associations of Shanghai. They introduced the achievements the Shanghai college students have achieved on energy saving and carbon reduction from various angles, such as nature, society, economics, technology, etc.
Peter Mandelson gave a high appraisal of the students achievement an encouraged them to invent new technology on carbon reduction.
Before he came to Shanghai, Peter Mandelson and the British business delegation visited Beijing, received by Mr. Wen Jiabao, premier of China.
