On Nov. 3rd, Prof. Zhou Jialun, the Chairman of University Council, unveiled SFC silver plaque and gave a keynote speech of University s Support to Serve the Economic and Social Development on Aalto meets Tongji seminar at Sino-Finnish.
In his speech, Prof. Zhou introduced Tongji s practice in serving the society, responding the demands of national strategy and regional development. Tongji has achieved positive performance in restructuring of local economy and transformation, such as EXPO 2010, wind tunnel, new energy vehicle and Tongji Knowledge Economic Circle. Afterwards, professors in Economics and Management, Art and Design, Electronics and Information, Chemistry, Environmental Science and Engineering and representatives of Student Union from Tongji University and Aalto University made group discussions.
