Development Forum of Sharing TCM with the World Opened in Tasly

At 3pm, 17th April 2008, the Development Forum of Sharing TCM With the World opened in Tasly Modern Chinese Herbs Center. A number of celebrities concerning TCM all over the world attended the ceremony. Mr. Pang Shuting, the Deputy Director of TCM Administration Bureau of Ministry of Health of the PRC; Professor Zhang Boli, Academician in China Academy of Sciences and Headmaster of Tianjin TCM University; Mr. Thuli Van Der Wath, Director of Johannesburg Public Health Department, South Africa; Ms. Amma Bame Busia, Representative of the Lower House, Ghana; Professor Cheng Yiyu, the famous medical expert of Zhejiang University, China attended the forum and made speech.

At right 3 p.m., Mr. Dai Biao, CEO of Tasly International Company announced the opening of the forum. First of all, Mr. Pang Shuting addressed his greetings. In his words, WHO ever sent medical experts to China, and these experts did field surveys about the special effect of Chinese herbs against SARS, which revealed the fact that TCM was gaining more and more acknowledgement from a variety of nations and government organizations in spite of different culture.

Afterwards, Mr. Liu Gang, Deputy President of Xinhua News Agency, Tianjin, on behalf of domestic media, addressed and sent warm welcome to foreign media.

Then Doctor Yan Xijun, the president of Tasly Group made a lecture titled Tasly Pan-Health Industry , in which President Yan elaborated on new challenges human health and medical research confronted with, and provided some information about the innovation of Modern Chinese Medicine along side with Tasly Pan-Health Industry.

As President Yan put forth, Tasly, taking the Pan-Health industry as its orientation and the TCM as its core business, had extended its business to various categories including modern herb medicine, chemicals, biomedicine, unique therapeutics, healthcare products, cosmetics and health drinking, and evolved into a high-tech group engaged in scientific research, plantation, manufacturing and selling.

The fundamental routed which Tasly achieve the Pan-Health Industry is to realize comprehensive globalization.

Thereafter, Mr. Thuli Van Der Wath, Director of Johannesburg Public Health Department of South Africa and Ms. Amma Bame Busia, Representative of the Lower House of Ghana presented their introduction about the application condition of TCM in these two countries in detail. Lastly, Mr. Wu Ziran, Director of China Economy Daily, gave brief presentation concerning the history of the medical exchange between China and Africa.

At the forum, numbers of reporters and journalists of main media both from home and abroad showed their enthusiasm and interest, who included about thirty ones from South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Cote d ivoire, Indonesia and Japan, and about ten ones from China. A reporter from Cote d ivoire said, This is the first time that I have got the chance to interview the top managers of Tasly Group.

It is pretty precious for me, so I must prepare everything very well for the interview. After the forum, I will bring information and materials about Tasly and its products back to my country, and furthermore I will tell the story of Tasly to other people, helping them know more about not only TCM, and its long history with broad contents, but also the well-known company, Tasly.

Journalists hands were raised up in wake of the announcement of question time. And their questions fell into different categories from the development of TCM, the globalization of TCM and the Pan-Health Industry of Tasly. In response to these questions, interviewees gave satisfying replies and explanations in detail, with the help of which, journalists got plenty of information about the further steps of TCM globalization, and moreover the development prospect of the Pan-Health Industry of Tasly.

This forum bears the responsibility for applying a channel for the communication between TCM and domestic as well as foreign media about the current condition of TCM, its entry into international markets and its development overseas as well. President Yan gave pretty concrete introduction about Tasly s Pan-Health Industry and the strategy of comprehensive internationalization, whose lecture was given more attention.

After the forum, representatives held the belief that the comprehensive globalization of Tasly would promote the process of joining the world of Modern Chinese Medicine, which will benefit more and more people.
