CMS was awarded the Best Profit Growth prize In China Merchants Group

The New Century First Decade Honorary Award was hosted at the 2011 Annual meeting of China Merchants Group held on February 21^st and 22^nd. CMS was awarded the Best Profit Growth prize for the rapid profit increase achieved in the past decade (2001-2010).

The meeting conducted a comprehensive review of the Group s development in the past ten years. Fu Yuning, chairman of the board, delivered an important speech titled Inheritance, Innovation and Surpassing Moving into a New Decade and Embarking on a New Journey. The speech reviewed the achievements the Group had gained, the experience worthy of sticking to and the weaknesses existed in the past decade. On the basis of that, he proposed his ideas about the direction, pattern and objectives of the Group s development in the coming decade. He stressed that adherence to the history and constant innovation is needed to achieve rapid development, and creative thinking and entrepreneurial passion should be incorporated in conducting the work in 2011. On behalf of the Group s leaders, the president, Li Jianhong, delivered a work report named Ensuring a Good Start for the New Decade through Creative Thinking and Thorough Implementation. The report provided a comprehensive summary of the Group s performance and problems in 2010, and an analysis and estimation of the domestic and international situations the Group would be facing in 2011. Building on that, the report made clear and detailed arrangements for the key tasks in 2011.

In the afternoon of 22^nd, the annual meeting acknowledged the companies that had made outstanding contribution to the Group s strategic development in the past decade. Our company was awarded the Best Profit Growth prize. As the prize presentation speech pointed out, the net profit of the parent company of CMS reached 3.2 billion in 2010 from 34 million in 2005, a compound growth rate as high as 148%. With its innovative, pragmatic and sincere approach in the pursuit of development, CMS has earned a place in the top 10 securities dealers list. It has become a vital force in the financial service sector in China Merchants Group and a major contributor to the Group s rapid development.

Gong Shaolin, chairman of the board, and Yang Kun, the president of China Merchants Securities came to the stage to receive the award on behalf of the company. Fu Yuning, chairman of the board at China Merchants Group, presented the prize medal, the award certificate and bouquets to the two leaders.
