The worldwide largest integrated steel casting was successfully poured in CFHI

At 10:15 am. of July 28th, the integrated steel casting with the worldwide heaviest unit weight for Anshansteel 5.5m broad and thick plate mill housing was successfully casted by once five ladles pouring together, the total molten steel used is up to 743 ton. It is the upmost in the current worldwide integrated casting, which is equivalent to the total weight of 6 gas engines for the train.

The housing casting is in length 15.9 m, width 4.67 m and post thickness 2.3 m. CFHI spent over 50 days from wooden mould preparation to the whole mould finishing, which used up 16.5 m3 wood and 7 tons inner support steel.

The successful casting created the new record again since the successful casting of 5m plate mill housing with 716 tons molten steel by once time pouring in November, 2005.

CFHI s top level, Mr. Wu Shengfu, Mr. Zhao Lixin and Mr. Liu Dengyun, looked the whole pouring process and gave the greetings to the whole body of the relevant staffs and workers from CFHI Stock Holding Co. Ltd. and Metallurgy Plant.
