Chunyuan GM Zhan Tianbing selected CDSA Chairman

November, 18, the 3rd session of Board of Councilors from Chengdu Slaughter Association was held at Chunyuan Food Co., Ltd.. The meeting made chairman appointment and removal, and reported 2010 H1 work and financial conditions of the Association.

Mr. Zhan Tianbing from Chunyuan Food was selected Chairman of the Association through unanimous consent of all members and Board Councilors of the Association. He said at the meeting, pork products are the most important daily necessities of people s life. The pig slaughtering industry has a very long industrial chain, which covers livestock and poultry production, slaughter processing, deep processing, integrated utilization of by-products, freezing & transport, fresh packaging, as well as wholesale and retail. It is of great importance to further strengthen the sector s market competitiveness, guide and normalize market circulation, especially the development of the Association s governing units and member units.

As for the contributions by the Association, officials from Bureau of Commerce at Chengdu city, counties and district levels gave high credit. In 2009, Zhao Xiaowei, Vice Mayor of Chengdu gave instruction for rapid indicator testing of clenbuterol and moisture content at designated slaughterhouses in Chengdu to ensure the quality of pork meat. In 2009, December, Mr. Zhao gave high credit for Chunyuan Food s traceability after visiting Chunyuan s Gold Card Pork traceability system.
