On June 18th, President Emomali Rahmon paid a special visit to the headquarter of TBEA and New Energy Industrial Park during his visit to China and presented his cordial greetings to TBEA employees who implemented the construction of Tajikistan 220kV & 500kV Power Transmission and Transformation Projects
Accompanied by Wu Hailong, Assistant to Foreign Minister of China, Zuo Xueliang, Ambassador of China to the Republic of Tajikistan, and Hu Wei, Vice Chairman of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, President Rahmon inspected TBEA Xinjiang Industrial Park for Power Transmission & Transformation Technology at TBEA headquarters and the Silicon Wafer Workshop in TEBA New Energy Industrial Park respectively. In his meeting with Mr. Zhang Xin, Board Chairman of TBEA, President Rahmon recalled delightedly his three-time visits to the erection sites during the construction of 220kV & 500kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project in Tajikistan, sending his warm regards to TBEA employees who worked arduously to make the transmission lines come into operation as early as possible. The whole project was completed on November 29, 2009, one year ahead of time schedule through their brave combating with chilly coldness and scorching heat and uninterrupted working in winter.
Up to now, having withstood the tests enforced by atrocious natural conditions of summer and winter in Tajikistan, the transmission lines have been in safe and reliable operation for 180 days. President Rahmon commended TBEA by highlights These two main power transmission lines have become the fundamental guarantees for the economic development and people s living improvement in Tajikistan. After inspecting the garden-like factory, advanced manufacturing and testing equipments, and neatly-designed working environment, President Rahmon applauded TBEA by praising that TBEA has established an outstanding example for China-Tajikistan economic and trade cooperation with its leading-edge technology, top-ranking quality and first-class service.
In view of TBEA s excellent performance and professional image in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Energy of Tajikistan and TBEA signed another 36.9 million US dollar contract for Khujand-Aini 220kV Power Transmission and Transformation Project , during President Rahmon s visit in China.
