SANY Group at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008

Shortly after the World of Concrete 2008 in January this year, SANY Group packing 18 engineering machines in its Red Star series graced the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 on March 11 15 in Las Vegas of the US.
SANY's variety of exhibits and display area ranked the first among all participating Chinese enterprises, making its booth a cynosure at the show.

March 11 saw the opening of this grand exhibition. The 3,000-square meter booth of SANY accommodated the wide range of products including pump trucks, reach stackers, pavers, rollers, motor graders, excavators, rotary drilling rigs, and crawler cranes, attracting eyes of visitors from all corners of the world. Watched afar, bright-colored corporate flag of SANY was flying amongst white clouds in a purely blue sky. On the left wing of SANY booth, rollers, motor graders, pavers and crawler cranes lined up shoulder to shoulder, which formed a grand picture of the "SANY Product Family" together with excavators, rotary drilling rigs, and reach stackers on the right wing. Professional visitors were flocking in to take a close look or request detailed product information.
Mr. Yi Xiaogang, First Vice President of SANY Group said the Group managed to develop products with independent intellectual property rights by studying and localizing the latest technologies and inventions in the world engineering machinery sector, and by leveraging its own powerful R&D capacity to meet diversified demands of its clients all over the globe.
SANY already introduced a new model of pump truck capable of delivering fluid building materials to a height of 37-meter, a fully hydraulic motor grader, and a new excavator conforming to product standards effective in both Europe and the US.
300-million-yuan Worth Orders Secured from Europe, US
The 18 engineering products exhibited by SANY Group were greatly favored by professional visitors. In addition to their usual interests in SANY's pumping, paving, pile driving, and excavating machines, these potential buyers were particularly interested in the newly introduced harbor machine - RSC45-5M reach stacker. They turned to products presenting engineers for technological parameters, working conditions, and quotations.
On the second day of this exhibition, SANY America reached sales cooperation agreements with six dealers covering 10 states including New York, Georgia, Florida, California, Utah, Washington, and Texas. According to Mr. Zhou Fugui, Vice President of SANY Group and President of SANY America, SANY markets its products in the America mainly through dealership, and is more than glad to grow together with its local dealers. Mr. Fu Weizhong, Vice President of SANY America elated that they have secured orders for 40 machines with their dealers, and have collected earnest money from their clients.
It is also leaned that SANY America had been aggressively exploring the local market, and is expected to reap in a total sales venue of 20 million dollars by end-March. In two consecutive days, SANY Europe had secured nearly 200-million-yuan worth of sales contracts with two separate dealers in the Netherlands. Mr. Guo Chunming, General Manager of SANY Europe said the contract for 36 crawler cranes he secured from this exhibition was the largest one for his company so far this year.
SANY, A Worldwide Hot Topic for Discussion
Amid the warmth of March, the oasis of Las Vegas hosted more than 2000 exhibitors and nearly 130,000 visitors to the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008. SANY Group, a leader in China's engineering machinery sector, was again a powerful eye attracter in Las Vegas.
Darui Delindun , Vice Chairman of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, said Changsha has become one of the quickest growing area for engineering machinery business in China, and even in the whole world, as is evidenced by SANY's rapid development, SANY's quality products and excellent services.
Speaking at the China (Changsha) Promotion Conference for Investment, Cooperation, and Engineering Machinery on March 11 in Las Vegas, Wen Shuxun, Vice Mayor of Changsha, said manufacturers of engineering machinery in his city has developed an industrial cluster of scale economy led by SANY Group, and is now an emerging capital of China's engineering machinery industry. By Wen's estimation, Changsha's engineering machinery production will hit 20 billion dollars by 2010, and that SANY is expected to take a lion s share.
Yang Yiwen, Director of Changsha Economic & Technical Development Zone Administrative Commission said Sany was the first privately owned enterprise in Hunan to record an sales revenue of more than 100 billion yuan in 2007, which was deemed a powerful inspiration to other players in the engineering machinery business in the Development Zone. Yang said he had full confidence in sound development in SANY in 2008.
Mr. L. Meerman from Meerman SANY B.V Company of the Netherlands is a dealer of SANY products including excavators and crawler cranes.
