In September, Changchun City is filled with fragrant culture and bright art. The first China Changchun ? Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week opening ceremony was held in Changchun Northeast Asia Art Center on September 1, pulling open the 8-day Art Week.
CPPCC Vice Chairman and President of China Federation of Literature Sun Jiazheng announced the opening of the first China Changchun ? Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week. Provincial party secretary Sun Zhengcai attended the opening ceremony. Vice minister of the Ministry of Culture Zhao Shaohua, party secretary and deputy president of China Federation of Literature Hu Zhenmin delivered speech respectively. Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee member and director of Publicity Department Xun Fengxi on behalf of the provincial party committee and government gave a welcoming speech. The first Art Week organizing committee director and Changchun mayor Cui Jie presided over the opening ceremony.
Xun Fengxi said in the welcoming speech that holding the first China Changchun ? Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week during the Sixth Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo builds an important platform for cultural exchanges in Northeast Asia, and will have a positive and profound impact on displaying the special cultural resources and cultural charm of Jilin, strengthening cultural exchanges and cooperation with Northeast Asian countries and promoting economic and cultural development in Northeast Asia.
The holding of the first Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week in Changchun fully embodies the full trust and great support of the Ministry of Culture and China Federation of Literature to our province. Jilin Province strives to build the Art Week into a culture and art event of the Northeast Asian countries.
Zhao Shaohua said in his speech that the first China Changchun ? Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week displays Jilin s multi-national culture basis and the fruitful results the culture construction has made in recent years, and comprehensively displays the colorful Northeast Asian arts and culture. Under the leadership and organization of Jilin provincial party committee and government, it will become a new bridge and link of the Northeast Asian cultural exchange and cooperation; and it will provide a good carrier and platform for giving play to Jilin s regional advantages to accelerate the process of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in Northeast Asia and promoting cultural integration and development.
Hu Zhenmin sincerely hoped in his speech that the first Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week would raise soft power and reputation of the Northeast Asia Expo with its rich and varied cultural and artistic connotation, and thus become a new model of the worldwide cultural cooperation, increasingly become a cultural and artistic feast with nationwide attention, favor of the Northeast Asian countries and overseas concern, and become a new brand and new coordination of Jilin Province s and even China s cultural and artistic festival, so as to make its due contribution to further promoting peace, harmony, cooperation and development in Northeast Asia.
Leaders of the province and Changchun City Bayin Zhaolu, Gao Guangbin, Chen Xiaoguang, Ren Fengxia, Zhu Yejing, Zhang Yuanfu, CPPCC National Committee Vice Secretary-General and the Chinese Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee Central Committee Vice Chairman Xiu Jinfu, China Federation of Literature Vice Chairman and China Calligraphy Association Vice Chairman Duan Chenggui, former provincial leader Sun Yaoting, as well as the consuls, cultural officials, artists and other guests from the Northeast Asian countries who participated in the East Expo attended the opening ceremony.
The first China Changchun ? Northeast Asia Culture and Art Week is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literature, Jilin Provincial Government and Changchun Municipal Government, and undertaken by 12 departments such as Jilin Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department, Northeast Asia Expo Secretariat, Provincial Culture Department, Provincial Federation of Literature and Changchun Municipal Party Committee Publicity Department. This Art Week is with "multi-element and colorful, integration and sharing" as the theme, with "building a cultural platform, promoting artistic exchange, displaying regional image, and promoting common development" as the purpose, and with colorful artistic performance, various mass cultural activities, distinctive high-end cultural forum and cultural industry trading as the main content. The "China has a city called Changchun" national painting and calligraphy exhibition is a national initiative and has an unprecedented scale, with celebrities studded. The second Northeast Asia International Calligraphy, Painting &Photography Exhibition not only displays the famous works of Qi Baishi and other modern masters, but also displays the fine works of the contemporary calligraphers and painters, the excellent works of young artist, as well as the exotic works of North Korea, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Russia and other countries. The first Shaman culture forum, the Northeast Asia think tank forum and the Northeast Asia cultural exchanges and cultural industry development forum bring together the experts from Northeast Asia, and highlight the high-end direction of this Art Week.
