Wang Rulin Met with German BASF Asia Pacific President Hou Yuzhe

October 13, Governor Wang Rulin met with German BASF Asia Pacific President Hou Yuzhe and his party in Changchun.
Wang Rulin on behalf of the provincial government welcomed the arrival of Hou Yuzhe and his party. He briefly introduced the economic and social development of Jilin this year. Wang Rulin, said BASF, a German chemical company, is the world's largest chemical factory base, but also an important partner of Jilin Province. Jilin attaches great importance to the cooperation with BASF. BASF and Jilin Chemical Industrial Company jointly invested and established BASF-Jilin Chemical Industrial Neopentyl Glycol Co., Ltd. in 1995, and the company has developed smoothly in recent years. As China's major base of automobile, railway vehicle, petrochemicals R & D and production, Jilin Province has shown good momentum of economic development in recent years. It is stepping up in building the Jilin Chemical Industrial 100-billion industrial base, giving prominence to the 10 million ton refinery project, and actively building the national petrochemical industrial park, etc., which has laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation between the two sides. He hoped the two sides would explore ways to establish an effective mode of operation, strengthen cooperation in chemical industry, supporting of automotive industry, supporting of railway vehicle and other areas, promote the deep-level development of the cooperation, and expand business scale, to achieve complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win situation. Jilin Province will further optimize the development environment, to provide quality service.
Hou Yuzhe expressed his thanks to Wang Rulin for his meeting. He said it would actively seek opportunities to expand cooperation with Jilin Province in broader areas on the basis of the cooperation with Jilin Chemical Industrial Company.
