On the morning of January 17, the provincial government and China National Petroleum Corporation jointly signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Songyuan City. Party Secretary Sun Zhengcai attended the signing ceremony. Governor Wang Rulin and China National Petroleum Corporation party secretary and general manager Jiang Jiemin respectively delivered a speech and on behalf of the parties signed the agreement.
Wang Rulin said in his speech that Jilin Province is China s major petrochemical industrial base. Over the years, we have always put the growth of petrochemical industry in an important position of the overall situation. Jilin Province has attached great importance to cooperation with CNPC; through joint efforts, the two sides have formed a good basis for cooperation and have achieved remarkable results.
The enterprises CNPC in Jilin have become an important force to support our province s economic development, and have made outstanding contributions to the revitalization of old industrial bases in Jilin. Now, the province is at a critical stage of revitalization and development. To achieve the established development goals, we must promote the implementation of the industrial development plans for the zooming of ten pillar competitive industries, of which making the petrochemical industry become bigger and stronger is one of the focuses.
As the two sides signed a cooperation framework agreement, CNPC determines to speed up implementation of such projects as the 10 million tons of oil and gas fields, the 10 million tons of refinery and the gas and oil pipelines, which will help push forward industrial restructuring in our province and further make the petrochemical industry become bigger and stronger, will be conducive to speed up the "gasification Jilin" process and improve production and living conditions, and will be conducive to adjust the energy structure to provide important protection for continued stable and rapid economic development of Jilin.
Jilin Province will go all out to implement the agreement, create construction conditions, and provide quality services to ensure the steady implementation of the projects. He hoped CNPC would give full play to its advantages and vigorously promote the cooperation with Jilin, to achieve greater development in Jilin.
Jiang Jiemin said that CNPC as a key state enterprise is the largest oil and gas production and marketing enterprise in China, which has formed an oil and gas backbone pipeline network crossing east to west, north to south, covering the whole country, whose marketing network and supporting facilities achieve continuous development and improvement. We are working to build a green, international and sustainable CNPC, actively advancing towards the goal of building an integrated international energy company. Jilin Province is a key development market of CNPC, and the two sides have established a profound friendship and good relations of cooperation. We will further increase investment in Jilin, make efforts to increase clean and efficient energy production and input, in particular increase the supply of natural gas and refined oil, to ensure meeting the growing demand for energy by economic and social development of Jilin, and promote optimization and adjustment of energy structure. We will earnestly carry out the agreement, implement construction projects and supply indicators, and make due contributions to Jilin Province s speeding up the transformation of economic development mode and achieving green development.
