Wang Jianguo s oil painting exhibition to be held at the China Art Gallery

To highlight the themes of artistic spirit and cultivate reserve forces of young painters, Provincial Department of Culture, Provincial Literary Federation and Jilin Province Artists Association will hold the oil painter Wang Jianguo s oil painting exhibition and works theory seminar at the China Art Gallery on March 20.

Industry experts have a high evaluation on the oil paintings of Wang Jianguo. Some experts have said that Wang Jianguo's works are rooted in painting from life, with comprehension about life sublimated into hearty and passionate expression, has magnificent and thick scenes, bright and spiritual colors, gets out of conventional context, focuses on academic pursuit, and carries the humane care and artistic spirit of the times; his works have broad artistic ideas and diverse techniques of expression, and he has a considerable degree of artistic potential and creative talents; academically, he pursues to penetrate the spiritual world and the emotional world of contemporary people from perspectives of contemporary philosophy, culturology, aesthetics, anthropology and other multi-dimensional culture, with emphasis on giving a profound exposition and promotion from concept direction, ways of thinking and cultural taste; he stresses the aesthetic fulcrum, and seeks for targeted cultural issues from contemporary culture, and pays attention to the environment and state of the reality of human living; and his unique mode of discourse has a distinct cultural standpoint as well as his comments on the real life.

Wang Jianguo has held solo exhibitions for his works in France, Italy, Russia, the United States, Finland, South Korea, Japan and other countries, and conducted art exchange activities, and won praise and affirmation from many artists and industry experts in the world. This exhibition to be held in the China Art Gallery will last 10 days, during which more than 40 pieces of works Wang Jianguo created in the past two years are planned to display. From April onwards, Wang Jianguo s oil painting art exhibition will also be held throughout the country.
