December 26 - GDUFS student and former president of the Student Union, Ou Shaobin, was one of five Chinese youth representatives to join a summit in Fukuoka, Japan where delegates from China, Korea, and Japanons submitted a proposal to Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, and Korean President Lee Myung-bak.

This year on September 17, Ou Shaobin took part in the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Youth Friendship Conference as one of the 100 Chinese youth representatives.
According to Ou, Premier Wen Jiabao has been a great idol of his ever since Wen assumed office. When meeting him in person, Ou introduced himself with great excitement, and Premier Wen responded amiably.

Ou and the other delegates arrived in Fukaoka on December 12 and drafted their proposal, which was based on the results of the September meeting. The three heads of state met with the students the next day and signed the proposal.

On the following three days, 15 representatives from the three nations specified the proposal in terms of culture, higher education, and environment. Ou and his Chinese colleagues proposed that the governments of the three nations produce a Youth Card to provide benefits such as discounts on transportation and cultural events. They also suggested that the Youth Card facilitate processing visas.
