Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the document about Notice on 2009 the Bibliography of Top-Quality Textbooks Used in General Higher Education (Department of Higher Education in the Minstry of Education, No.203, [2009]). New Edition: Fine Art Education edited by Professor Yin Shaochun from the School of Fine Arts in our university and the Fourth Edition: Differential Geometry co-edited by Professor Mei Xiangming and Professor Huang Jingzhi from the School of Mathematics Sciences were named 2009 National fine materials since the Rudiments of Modern Algera (the second edition) edited by Professor Shi Shengming from the School of Mathematics Sciences in 2007 and A New Calligraphy Course edited by Ouyang Zhongshi from the Research Institute for Chinese Calligraphy Culture.
So far, five textbooks written by teachers from CNU are named National fine materials.
The assessment of Nationally Top-Quality Textbook, which is an important means to advance the project of undergraduate teaching quality and teaching reform, started from 2007. In order to encourage teachers to create more teaching materials, especially top-quality teaching materials, our university has taken the form of project establishment and intensified the efforts to support the construction of teaching materials, which has attained great achievement through the joint efforts made by the majority of teachers.
