Deng Yaping, Deputy Secretary of CYL Beijing Municipal Committee Visited CNU

On the afternoon of April 27th, Deng Yaping, Deputy Secretary of CYL Beijing Municipal Committee visited the Center of Traditional Chinese Culture (the Center) at CNU. The visit was accompanied by Chen Ning, deputy secretary of Party Committee, Gu Qun, director of Science Park and staff with the Center.
Deng started with a brief introduction to the purpose of her visit. CYL Beijing Municipal Committee initiated to set up a Beijing Traditional Chinese Culture Institute in the first half of 2010 to help spread the traditional Chinese culture in Beijing. The other sponsors included Beijing Federation of Trade Union, Beijing Women s Federation, Beijing People s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Beijing Association of Science and Technology and Beijing Youth Development Foundation. She visited altogether 4 units of CNU to gather the experiences and resources needed for the preparation and operation of the institute to establish.
Chen Ning, Gu Qun and staff with the Center introduced the history, research and discipline characteristics of the Center as well as integrated administration pattern of industry, teaching and research. They displayed some R&D achievements got in recent years and answered Deng s questions regarding traditional Chinese culture.
Deng fully acknowledged the performance of the Center and hoped for support from CNU during the preparations. She trusted the Center to develop some reading materials that could briefly introduce traditional Chinese culture, and hoped to have closer cooperation with CNU in the future.
On behalf of CNU, Chen Ning expressed the willing of CNU to help with the preparation work and contribute to spreading traditional Chinese culture.
