The 3rd session of awarding ceremony of Writing Composition Competition in Japanese for Chinese People convened at JinanUniversity on Dec.15, 2007. Miss Chen Xinxing, the junior student of Japanese Department of JinanUniversity won the special award entitled Sasakawa Prize. As a result, she will be invited to make a tour to Japan for one week in the coming March of 2008.
The writing composition competition in Japanese was launched by Japanese Overseas Chinese Newspaper and Sino-Japan communication institute which aimed to collect fine pieces of work from the students of Chinese Universities to be compiled into a publication. Dr. Duan Yuezhong, the chief editor of Japanese Overseas Chinese Newspaper, introduced that the title of the book would be transcending the borders of nations.
On behalf of JinanUniversity, Vice President Prof. Lu Daxiang address a congratulation speech. Ms.Yu Huifen, Director of International Affairs Office, Mr. An Heng, Director of Alumni Affairs Office, attended the ceremony.
