1st Annual Conference of Jinan University International Exchange and Cooperation Committee H

On the afternoon of July 4, the 1^st Annual Conference of Jinan University International Exchange and Cooperation Committee was held at the International Conference Hall. The Conference was attended by the president and vice presidents, members of the committee, directors from administrative departments and staff from colleges.

Prof. Hu Jun, President of Jinan University and director of the committee delivered a speech, which highlighted the meaning of the committee s founding, the aim of this conference, the current condition of JNU s internationalization and the direction of its development.

Ms. Yu Huifen, Director of Office for International and Hong Kong, Maocao and Taiwan Affairs gave a report to the conference, introducing the achievements of the university s external relation development and its future work plan. Prof. Zhang Jie, Dean of the College of Economics, Prof. Zeng Yiping, Vice Dean of the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Prof. Tang Shuze, Dean of the International School, Prof. He Qingyu, Dean of the Life Health Institute, Prof. Chen Jian, Vice Dean of the 1^st Clinical Medicine School, Prof. Cai Dongqing, Director of the Joint Laboratory of Chinese University of Hong Kong and Jinan University, and Prof. Song Xianzhong, Director of the Planning and Development Office shared their experiences and feelings on international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan exchange and cooperation.

Prof. Jiang Shuzhuo, 1^st Vice President of JNU and deputy director of the committee gave a sum-up speech and concluded the conference.

The Jinan University International Exchange and Cooperation Committee was founded in July 2006. In November 2007, sub-committees were established in colleges and institutes. This conference was the 1^st annual conference of the committee after its establishment.
