Prof. Lompr Anne-Marie Visiting Jinan University

On Oct. 17th, 2010, Professor Lompr Anne-Marie, Head of the Department of Medicine from Paris VI, Pierre et Marie Curie University, was invited to visit Jinan University. Prof. Lompr visited Jinan Biomedicine Research and Development Center and gave an academic lecture on New targets for therapeutic approaches of cardiovascular diseases . Professor Yifei Wang, Head of the Jinan Biomedicine Research and Development Center, had a discussion on cooperation after lecture with Professor Lompr .

Prof. Lompr is the Director of Research, 1st Class at INSERM UMRS 956 and team leader of cell signaling and novel therapeutic approaches of cardiovascular remodeling . Prof. Lompr has done milestone studies on the mechanism of cardiac remodeling during hypertrophy and failure. She demonstrated for the first time the shift in myosin a/b isoforms during cardiac development and after pressure overload. She was also among the first to demonstrate the alteration in activity and expression of the sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ATPase (SERCA2a) in severe cardiac hypertrophy. Her team has also demonstrated the importance of the multidrug-resistant associated protein, MRP4, a cyclic nucleotides export ATPase in cell signaling.
