German Professor Stasch Visiting Jinan University

Professor Johannes-Peter Stasch was invited by the First Clinical Medical College of Jinan University for a visit which last 2 days from 2010 Nov.15 to 16. Professor Stasch had a visit on the Institutes of Life and Health Engineering, Biomedicine Research and Development Center, Medical Experimental & Research Center of School of Medicine, and the first Affiliated Hospital. He presented a lecture on Drug Development and Innovative Thinking and had discussion with researchers in the university. Prof. Huang Li, Dean of the College and Prof. Luo LiangPing, Prof. Zhao ChangYing from the Department of Scientific Research and Teaching Affairs met with Prof. Stasch and discussed on the scientific research cooperation between the two sides.

About Professor Johannes-Peter Stasch: He is a professor in Pharmacology at University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany and Chief scientist in Cardiovascular Research, Bayer Schering Pharma AG. He holds Ph.D. of Pharmacology and Inorganic Chemistry. His research projects include drug development in the fields of central nervous system and cardiovascular diseases. He has published more than 110 papers on leading journals including Nature Nature Rev Drug Discovery Nature Med J Clin Invest Circulation Mol Pharmacol, and got 150 patents.
